Cāpo: device used on the neck of a guitar to shorten the strings and raise the pitch
Cāpo Creek Ranch is a small winery nestled in the heart of Dry Creek Valley. It’s such a gem. Truly so peaceful & charming — surrounded by beautiful gardens and vines.

Going with the music theme that their name is based on, they have wines named “Songwriter Red,” “Tremolo” (the variation in amplitude of sound achieved through electronic means), “Open Mic,” and “Playlist” (which is one of my absolute favorite white wine blends!)
Mary, the owner of Cāpo Creek, is so sweet and she curates an AMAZING wine and food pairing. She’s a self-taught chef and dazzles her guests with mouthwatering foods paired with her fabulous wines.
Here’s the tasting menu we experienced this past summer. The menu changes often, utilizing local and seasonal ingredients, but it’s always delicious and absolutely worth it.
Strawberry Soup paired with 2019 Rosé

Sesame Tuna Wonton paired with 2020 Playlist White Wine Blend

Cotswold Pierogi paired with 2019 Grenache Noir

Roasted Mozzarella Pepper paired with 2018 Estate Old Vine Zinfandel

Prime Filet Crostini paired with 2018 Open Mic Rhone Red Blend

2018 Syrah paired with Fruit Tart

I hope you visit Cāpo Creek soon! I certainly can’t wait to go back.

Cheers!
