Happy Birthday, Taylor Swift! Pairing Her Albums with Different Wines

It is the birthday of the amazing Taylor Swift, and to celebrate I have decided to pair her albums (the ones that she owns!) with different wine varietals… Let me know which ones you agree with and what you’d change!

Pinot Noir with Folklore

This juicy, earthy, acidic red wine pairs great with folklore’s autumnal Cottagecore aesthetic.

Merlot with Red (Taylor’s Version)

Merlot can be lighter or bolder depending on how it’s made, and that echoes Red (Taylor’s Version), as we all know that there are many different genres on this album – all equally brilliant, of course.

Cabernet Sauvignon with Evermore

Evermore is absolutely a wintertime album, to be listened to while cozy, snuggled, and sipping on a big glass of Cab – the perfect bold wine for a cold winter’s day.

Chardonnay with Lover

Lover is an ode to love and how she’s ready to settle down (Paper Rings, anyone?) Chardonnay is the quintessential “getting older and settling down” wine, and it’s the perfect wine for Lover.

Sauvignon Blanc with Fearless (Taylor’s Version)

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) has an edge and yet, it’s still young and whimsical, as can be seen in the fairytale imagery throughout. That’s why an acidic but well-balanced Sauvignon Blanc is the wine for this album.

I’ll add the Speak Now, 1989, Reputation, and Taylor Swift albums when she owns them! Stay tuned. And while we all wait for those re-recordings, pour a glass of wine, listen to my curated Taylor Wines playlist, and cheers to Taylor’s birthday! (Drink responsibly while listening, please.)

Cheers! & happy birthday, Taylor!
